Invitation Vendors
Invitations are available in many different sizes, shapes, textures, and colors. Deciding on the right invitation and wording are some of the choices involved in creating the invitations. Over the years, many rules of etiquette for invitations have become more flexible. However, regardless of how formal or informal the invitations are, here are two tips:

  • Do not list registry information on the wedding invitation itself. This can cause guests to feel offended, making them feel that you are more concerned about receiving a gift instead of having them attend the wedding ceremony. To let your guests know about the registry, you can include a separate note in the wedding invitation, rely on word of mouth to spread the information about your bridal registry by discreetly telling your close family and friends about the bridal registry with the assumption that wedding guests will approach them for registry information, or include your bridal registry information on your wedding's website and tell guests about the website so that they can find the registry links on your website.

  • Do not include an e-mail address or website on the wedding invitation. Instead, you can include such information either on a separate piece of paper mailed with the wedding invitation or you can send an e-postcard to your wedding's guests with information about your wedding's website.
